Clear Lake Northwest Ice thickness is 5 to 9 inches. There are several areas of open water. Yellow bass are biting on jigging spoons and small jigs tipped with a minnow or cut bait fished out from the state dock on the north shore of the main lake. A few keeper walleyes and catfish are being caught using the same method. The ice near the rush beds is deteriorating quickly. 03/01 09:10

Silver Lake (Worth) Northwest Yellow perch 3 to 8 inches are biting on small jigs tipped with a wax worms. Silver Lake is undergoing a lake renovation project this winter. The fishing regulations have been relaxed. Anglers with a valid fishing license may take fish by any means except dynamite, poison, electroshocking, or any stupefying substances. The daily bag and minimum length restrictions are lifted 03/01 09:10

Storm Lake (incl Little Storm Lake) Northwest There are areas of open water on Storm Lake. The fishing for walleye has slowed down. Special walleye regulations at Storm Lake are 3 walleye per day, all fish between 17 and 22 inches must be released, and only one walleye over 22 inches may be kept. 03/01 09:52

West Okoboji Lake Northwest Bluegill – Good: Bluegill action has been fair on the north end and Emerson and Millers bays as well as the north end. Bluegills are tending to be very finicky and spooky. Use light line and be extremely quiet on the ice. Anglers using these techniques are catching nice fish. 03/01 08:14
West Okoboji Lake Northwest Yellow Perch – Fair: There have been a few nice yellow perch caught in slightly deeper water near Gull Point and Eagle Points. 03/01 08:14
