The Iowa Great Lakes Fishing Club (IGLFC) will be holding its annual fall DNR night on Thursday, November 11 at Oak Hill Outdoor (2188 Hwy 86, Milford). Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The main focus of the evening will be presentations by local DNR personnel on law enforcement updates, area projects and also a special presentation/ discussion on the proposed changes to the walleye slot limit on the Iowa Great Lakes.
This will also be a time for current and potential members to update their membership or add a membership for 2022.
Agenda for the evening will include free pizza and refreshments for club members and $10 for non-members at 6 p.m., followed by the DNR presentations at 7 p.m. The evening will conclude with drawing for door prizes.
According to IGLFC President Terry Thomsen, the evening promises to be a very informative one. “The DNR personnel will give insight into law enforcement, area projects and, of course, to the proposed changes in the slot limit.”
Thomsen adds, “We hope to get a great crowd of both current members and their families along with people just wanting to learn more about the IGLFC. We are also taking the opportunity to honor our local veterans, along with a special free raffle for club members who are veterans. They will have a chance to win several pieces of fishing equipment.”
