browns lake- friday & saturday 1/20 & 1/21 – pretty decent gills being caught, as well as some crappie, with waxie. berkley crappie nibbles were also a favorite of gills, bass, and crappie. also walleye fishing is best at about half way out from the boat ramp. some 12-15 inch walleye were being caught with minnows on rattle jig. 8 inches of ice in most spots. around the bend had thinner ice, so be careful if venturing back towards the inlet pipe area.
rodney 1/21 – fishing was slow saturday afternoon. small crappies, small bass, small bluegill being caught with waxie. 6 inches of ice.
crawford creek impoundment 1/21– fishing was very slow saturday morning. could have been the wind on saturday tho, but browns lake was good on saturday so who knows. gills caught on waxie. 6 inches of ice.
bacon creek 1/22– fishing was excellent on sunday. gills, crappie, trout were all being caught on waxie. very very aggressive bite. perch were also being caught. gills wouldn’t let your waxie hit the bottom before striking. best fishing was from 730am till noon, then bite dropped off till 2 and then picked back up again. the key to success at browns was back in the lake where it narrows to the creek area, on the far bank in 12 feet of water. 5 inches of ice at bacon in the creek area.
