Northwest Iowa Outdoors will be holding 10 postal shooting competitions June through July, 2012. The format is simple, send in and get your certified target. Fire your shots at your local range, and then mail the target back before the deadline.
All targets received by the deadline will be scored according to official NRA rules. All entrants will be classified into three categories. The top third of shooters will receive the “Gold Marksman” designation. The middle third will receive “Silver Marksman”. The bottom third will receive “Bronze Marksman”. Results will be posted on the Northwest Iowa Outdoors web site.
All entrants will receive a stylish, and soon to become coveted, hat pin to commemorate their achievement. Prizes will be mailed to recipients approximately 30 days after the deadline.
An individual may enter as many different postal matches as they wish, but can only enter each particular match once. Please be specific as to which match you wish to enter!

Northwest Iowa Outdoors realizes that this type of shooting match lends its self to cheating. The matches are intended to test ones skills against others in the area. They are to be conducted under the spirit of “good sportsmanship”. Any individual exposed as a “cheater” will be immediately disqualified from the competition and publically ridiculed on the Northwest Iowa Outdoors web site.
